A Deeper Look Into Danny Boyle

So far I have watched 7 of his films:

Trainspotting (1996)
A Life Less Ordinary (1997)
The Beach (2000)
28 Days Later (2002)
Millions (2004)
Sunshine (2007)
Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

I am also going to order a book about his life so far
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Danny-Boyle-Amy-Raphael/dp/0571253865/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1284972739&sr=1-2
This mainly covers how he got to where he is which i still feel will give me and insight into why it is he chooses to use the styles he does.

I have looked on Wikipedia for some information on him
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Boyle

So far this is all the reseach I have done on him but collected quite a bit of information allready.

Looking at different Auteurs

Originally I thought that I was interested in Paul Mcguigan (Lucky Number Slevin, Gangster No1) and so I watched 3 of his films and managed to see similarities in the 3 films(Lucky Number Slevin, Gangster No1, Push) and started to understand his style and techniques, however when looking for other sources for him I found not a single book on his work or written by him and felt this would make my task too difficult if I were only to rely on his work and a couple of small reviews on unknown websites. I then looked at a choice I did not think i'd like to at first, Danny Boyle. the reason I originally turned away from Boyle is because he seemed to be a very obvious choice, however, having looked deep into his work from his early films like Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary and looking though to his more recent releases, Sunshine and Slumdog Millionaire I feel like there is enough substance to see comparisons in all his films and I also am able to watch every single one. So I have decided to do Danny Boyle.
